Citrus C Online: Chef Recipes from Sunkist and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA)

By Sunkist -

Professional Chef Recipes direct from the Citrus C: Citrus Recipes from Sunkist and the Culinary Institute of America.

Sherman Oaks, CA (PRWEB) September 20, 2005 -- The creation of chef recipes using fresh citrus is the focus of the annual invitation-only Citrus C organized by Sunkist Growers, Inc. and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone in St. Helena, California. Sunkist and the Culinary Institute of America have now created a site which shares citrus recipes and an online learning experience of the Citrus Celebre free of charge.

The recently launched website, found at www.ciaprochef.com/sunkist,
shares not only chef recipes, but gives foodservice professionals an in-depth education in citrus and use of citrus recipes. Through interactive lessons, streaming videos, and recipes created specifically for the event, the site teaches useful skills and techniques to incorporate citrus recipes into any menu. Visitors can click on a country and discover how various citrus varieties enhance culinary traditions around the world. They can also spin the Citrus Flavor Wheel to learn more about specific fruit, including taste profiles and seasonal availability. Its no wonder Sunkist and the Culinary Institute of America have worked so well together to create so many successful chef recipes using fresh Sunkist products.

Foodservice professionals visiting the site have an opportunity to gather new menu ideas from innovative citrus recipes and watch streaming video clips of Chef Allen Susser of Chef Allen's restaurant in Aventura, Florida prepare some of these professional chef recipes. In addition, the site includes a list of the chefs and other food industry representatives who attended the 2005 Citrus Celebre, held February 1-4, 2005 at the Culinary Institute of America's Napa Valley campus.
