Can I cook 2 cakes in the oven at the same time? Will it affect temperature or cooking time?

Can you answer One Armed Scissor’s question about Culinary?:
I have one cake on the top shelf and one on the bottom, both of the same size and same mixture. It’s a fan-forced oven heated to 160C or 320F and the recipe recommends I cook for 45-50mins. Does having 2 cakes in the oven make a difference? Will I need to adjust cooking time or temperature. Will I need to rotate the cakes?

Culinary Feedback: No it does not. Only if you have a different amount of batter in one pan.
I always have problems with cooking 4 inch cakes they don’t cook fluffy. They come out dense of fall. what can I do differently.
Culinary Feedback: I would recommend rotating the cakes half way through baking.
Culinary Feedback: You might want to rotate the cakes, but it shouldn’t effect the baking otherwise.
Culinary Feedback: You shouldn’t need to add much, if any, time. Rotating the cakes wouldn’t be a bad idea as long as you can do it quickly w/o the oven cooling off too much in the process.
Culinary Feedback: Every oven is different. If you aren’t familiar with your oven, I would recommend trading shelf places half way through cooking.
Culinary Feedback: nope it wont
Culinary Feedback: if u put the same amount batter in each pan it should not matter
