What is the cooking social where you cook meals for a month?

Can you answer Yvelise’s question about Culinary?:

I had read about a cooking ‘class’ where you can meet with other people, you all cook lots of food in one evening (enough to last a month or a week) and you take home your food and freeze it and then use it for the next month or so. What is the name of this? Has anyone actually done this?

Culinary Feedback: It’s called “Once a Month Cooking” or “OAMC”. I couldn’t find any classes where you actually meet with other folks in person, but I found a website with a lot of information that may steer you in the right direction. Here’s a blurb from the site (I’ll provide the link below). Hope this helps!!!!:

*What is OAMC or Once A Month Cooking? It is a method of producing several entrees or meals in a one or two day-long cooking session. Meals and entrees are prepared for the next 30 days, then frozen. This makes cooking and clean-up minimal for the remainder of the month, giving you more time with your family, and to pursue personal interests.
